He was one of the five disciples sent to supervise the inhabitation of the village of Ruhel&#257, renamed after Gur&#363 Hargobind. Bh&#257&#299 Am&#299&#257 took part in the battle of Amritsar (1634). According to <i>Gurbil&#257s Chhev&#299&#7749 P&#257tsh&#257h&#299</i>, he commanded, jointly with Bh&#257&#299 Mihar&#257, a contingent of 500 Sikhs in the battle of Kart&#257rpur fought in April 1635.
